"I had used the Lexicor Neurosearch 24C for many years. When I changed to the Mitsar, I was very happy with its ease of use, small size and weight and its USB interface. I really like the Mitsar and have used it for both regular EEG data collection and for AEPs and VEPs. It is a high quality, reliable and user friendly device.

WinEEG is a very powerful EEG manipulation and processing tool. It has good EEG data collection, remontaging, filtering and data analysis and conversion capabilities. It provides good non-normed EEG analysis tools and has some nice coherence imaging features. It has a great deal of flexibility, offering the user control of features (e.g. spectral analysis data chunking) that other EEG analysis programs frequently don't provide. It supplies many preset task protocols in its ERP and ERD (optional) Psytask software... this is a very useful and powerful software package."

"The Mitsar is the perfect portable EEG for the researcher on the go. Field tested in the Peruvian Amazon and with Indigenous dwellings in Mexico, the Mitsar excelled in reliability and ease of operation."

"I have recently received the WinEEG software and find it to be a powerful and sophisticated suite of tools for imaging and processing multiple channel EEG data. It allows me to remove artifact, produce topographic maps for virtually any parameter I choose and I can also produce output in various formats for sharing with other clinicians. I have already begun using it in a research project and look forward to finding many more uses in the future as I explore the many possibilities of this program."

"I appreciate the simplicity, durability, and the technical quality of the MITSAR EEG amplifier system. We ship the amplifiers across country so I especially appreciate the operational reliability of the amplifier. A few AA batteries, a cheap printer USB cable, and that's all the "Accessories" needed! No added power supplies, interface cards, or bulky amps. This is a truly portable lab system, which along with a set of caps will fit into a small bag over a shoulder, including the computer!!

The Institute for the Human Brain database is rapidly expanding into younger ages and also in advanced age ranges, though it currently covers ages 7-70 quite well, with over 700 normal subjects. The normative screening in the IHB database is superior to most database screening procedures to select normal subjects.

Using this database side-by-side with the others has given me an appreciation for the stability of the findings. The database uses spectral raw analysis, not some pre-defined standard bands. With this close attention to staying true to the raw spectra, the database focuses on real outliers, not falling prey to the trap of using derived measures with their inherent false positives and false negatives."

"After owning two previous muilti-channel EEG systems, it was a joy meeting Leslie and getting a Mitsar. The other systems had either countless technical or customer support problems, which caused a great deal of grief.

The Mitsar has ample thought put into its design. It's small, stands on a tripod, which is very convenient when putting on head-gear and generates clean signals (including DC if needed). The "amplify-all" technique where the reference signals are subtracted from the active sensors is a profound advancement in technology as well as the on-screen impedance checking.

WinEEG, the software which accompanies the Mitsar, is a powerful analysis tool, comprising a multitude of measures. WinEEG allows export in a variety of formats including ascii and Lexicor (dat) files.

Above all, the tech support of Leslie Sherlin is excellent! Leslie also provides workshops and LORETA (3D imaging) support, adding incredible functionality to the system. No system exists that includes the technical or analysis ability or support as does the Mitsar - and at an affordable price!
