Digitally recorded EEG data is visually inspected and artifact rejected by a trained electroencephalographer. The artifacted data is processed with WinEEG software which includes spectrograms and scalp topographies of magnitude, relative power, coherence, asymmetry and standardized Low Resolution Electromagnetic Tomography (sLORETA).

These measures are compared to the Institute for the Human Brain normative database. The normative database includes 700 healthy controls carefully screened for normalcy between the ages of 6 and 60 years old under the tasks of eyes closed, eyes open, reading, mathematics, listening and computerized continuous performance task.

Interpretation and neurofeedback recomendations are based upon the clinical information presented along with the individual's EEG, quantitative analysis, sLORETA analysis and database comparisons. Recommendations are provided by Leslie Sherlin, PhD, who is certified at the diplomate level in quantitative electroencephalography and is BCIA certifed as both a general and EEG biofeedback practitioner.

Group data tests, which compare groups within or between subjects. All tests are based on randomization-permutation theory are distribution free (no assumption of normality) and control the rate of false positive in the most strict way [control of the Family-wise error, i.e., the chance of committing even only one Type I error (false positive) is less than alpha (0.05)].
