EureKa! allows easy editing and analysis of EEG for both Quantitative and LORETA results. EureKa! is a
comprehensive, flexible, and easy to use package for electroencephalographic research with continuously recorded EEG (not
ERP).
EureKa! has been conceived so as to maximize the simplicity of use without sacrificing the flexibility and the customizability of the program. EureKa! is a very comprehensive tool in the sense that it assists the user during all of the off-line steps required to extrapolate useful information from the continuously recorded EEG. From the off-line artifact rejection, resampling, filtering etc., to the production of tables and images, EureKa! will be your tool of choice. EureKa! allows full control over the functions implemented. With these characteristics it is particularly suitable for advanced research and clinical interpretations. EureKa! implements automatic data analysis. EureKa! dialogs with the LORETA-Key modules sending Windows messages to them. These modules run in the background and perform many computations for you! As usual, EureKa! makes sure that all LORETA computations are performed correctly. Another important characteristic is the introduction of the epoch-by-epoch analysis and the ability to analyze multiple files simulataneously. EureKa! is faster and works prevalently within the working memory. EureKa! allows both qEEG and LORETA comparisons to the NTE Adult Database. The number of different NTE databases that can be imported in the program is limitless. EureKa! has been greatly enhanced with regard to technical and interface details. For example, the maximum number of EEG channels supported is now 99, you can now open up to 24 minutes of continuous data (sampled at 128sr or 12 minutes at 256sr).
Features of EureKa!
EureKa! capabilities can be divided in three sections: the Editing section, the Computational section, and the Results Display section. Editing: - Full input/output compatibility for both the ASCII and the LEXICOR EEG files format. Regardless the format of your EEG file, you can now save your files in both the ASCII and the LEXICOR format. The I/O procedures have been enhanced so to allow more flexibility. - Support for maximum 99 EEG channels. - Removal of EEG segments of any length - High Resolution Simultaneous display of EEG Voltage, Power Spectra, Autocorrelation and Global Field Power. - Saving and copying to Clipboard of screen images. - Full control over all the graphical appearance of the program. - Instantaneous remontaging of the EEG file according to the CZ reference, COMMON AVERAGE reference, or ANY customizable MONOPOLAR or BIPOLAR reference. - Display of the EEG voltage in double reference. - Arbitrary EEG resampling - EEG Band-Pass, Low-Pass, and High-Pass Digital filer. - Printable WorkSheet summary of Database Comparison Analysis Computations: - Complete Control over the FFT procedures. - Automatic EEG Scalp and LORETA analysis on up to 128 customizable Frequency bands. - Data analysis performed For each Band: - Scalp Power and Amplitude · Peak Frequency· Coherence for each electrode pair · LORETA Power · LORETA Relative Power - Scalp Power DataBase Comparison · Scalp Relative Power and Power Ratio DataBase Comparison · LORETA Power DataBase Comparison · LORETA Relative Power and Power Ratio DataBase Comparison Results Display - NTE MapInsight allows easy creation of two-dimensional (heads) topographic maps and two-dimensional (lines) or three-dimensional (ribbons) charts of scalp EEG data. - LORETA MRI Images of Power, Relative Power, and Power Ratios. All can be paired with the corresponding comparisons to the Normative Database images, explored and further analyzed with the LORETA Viewer. The LORETA-Key Viewer available enables 3-D surface cortical maps.
